Fix for App closed main error

Here is a description on how to fix the app closed main error, without formatting your phone !

*this fix was tested on a nokia 6600 phone and it works

1.)

Lets do it...
Run Fexplorer or any other 3rd party filemanager like Seleq

2.)

Follow this path: C:\system\bootdata\ and highlight the FirstBoot.dat file as seen on the image above

3.)

Choose Options => File => Delete

4.)

That's it,

  • Now turn off your phone and remove your MMC card
  • Switch the phone on, without the MMC card (you will probably need to type in time and date)
  • Switch the phone off
  • Put the MMC card back into your phone
  • Switch phone on, but this time without the ugly app closed main error

Guru tip
:

If you want to avoid confusing or messed up menus after you have applied this fix, do the following before applying the fix...

First of all, you need to make a back up of your applications.dat file before following the next steps. How!?

Easy, run Fexplorer, Follow the path from above image and select applications.dat

C choose Options => Edit => Copy or just press key 1 (copy shortcut)

And past them on some secure place like on image above.

So if u want your menu setup back after making the fix, all you need to do is copying backup file of applications.dat over the existing one ( C:\system\data\ ) don't worry about the warning message asking if u want to overwrite, just press yes
