Nokia Video Manager
manage and transcode your videos on the fly

In addition to a minor update for PC Suite and iSync plugins for Mac OS, there is a brand new add-on application for the PC Suite, Nokia Video Manager.

Nokia Video Manager offers you a simple solution for transferring your videos from your phone to PC or vice versa – smoothly, efficiently, and with complete ease. The application is a free add-on product to be used together with Nokia PC Suite.

The most interesting feature of the Nokia Video Manager is in the ability of the on-the-fly transcoding it does for your video clips when transferred from PC to phone. In practice it means that you don't have to care about video format, bitrate, etc. your clip is, no matter what is it NVM will try to get optimized quality and size-wise when copied to the phone.

Basically that’s it, could be useful for lot of S60 owners although not for me, I simply like to have control over the video settings to finds right balance between the quality and size and therefore I just don’t like such a solutions. Super converter is still my tool No1 and if you need a simple, yet very efficient tool to convert (encode) or play any Multimedia file, without reading manuals or spending long hours training, then SUPER is all you need and it is freeware after all.

Compatibility is actually the most interesting thing, officially it supports 6110 Navigator, Nokia 6290 and Nokia 5700 XpressMusic only but I’ve test it with my N95 and it seams that NVM works just fine!?
