FB Twisted BETA 2 Brings Improved
Compatibility And Partial Support For Touch UI
Beta 2 version of the FB Twisted game is now available for public download and brings bunch of improvements, minor bug fixes, partial support for touch user interface and the most importantly, support for the new S60 sensor framework which means that it should works just fine with all 3rd Ed, FP2 devices such as Nokia N96, Nokia N85, Nokia N79 or 6210 Navigator.
Furthermore, there is an also version optimized for the Samsung’s Gsensor, compatible with Samsung INNOV8 and possibly with Omnia HD as well. BETA 3 version of the game is expected to be available shortly with an improved graphic and compatibility with touch user interface.
FB Twisted is the 3rd product released under the Aikonlab brand, it is a remixed version of Frozen Bubble. Samir has changed its open source code to add the accelerometer set of instructions to enable motion based command and the final result is the great, addictive, accelerometer based puzzle game !
The original Frozen Bubble was written in Perl by Guillaume Cottenceau, and uses the Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) library. The game features 100 levels and includes a level editor.
Like many popular free software/open source games, it features penguins a la Tux, who in this game shoot the coloured frozen bubbles to form groups of the same colour.
Such groups disappear and the object is to clear the whole screen in this way before a bubble passes a line at the bottom. Whenever this is accomplished these bubbles go away. The purpose of the game is to eliminate all bubbles from stage.
